Description

The Story

Handwoven with a women’s cooperative in the Atlas Mountains, this piece was found rather than designed. What drew us in was its clarity. A single, expansive field of colour, quietly punctuated with traditional motifs. There’s a confidence in its simplicity. It brings depth, calm, and a sense of grounding to a space without ever demanding attention.

The Weave

Hand-knotted from natural wool using techniques passed down through generations. The pile is low and dense, giving it a smooth, weighty feel underfoot. The surface carries subtle shifts and irregularities—a quiet record of the hands that made it.

The Colour

A deep, inky blue forms the foundation. It changes with the light, moving from navy to softer indigo tones. Fine motifs in warm reds, saffron, and soft neutrals sit lightly across the surface, adding rhythm and contrast while preserving the overall calmness.
